Australia’s presence at Amsterdam Dance Event is set to become even bigger this year, with Australia House returning for a third straight edition and extending its program from two days to three.
Organized by Sounds Australia, the industry hub will once again home itself at Box Sociaal in Amsterdam’s Jordaan neighborhood from October 21 through October 23. The initiative is designed to give Australian artists and music companies a dedicated meeting point during one of electronic music’s most important international gatherings.
The expanded schedule will feature curated networking sessions each morning, followed by opportunities for meetings and industry connections throughout the day and into the evening. The goal is to help Australian talent build relationships with overseas labels, promoters, agents and other music professionals attending ADE from around the world.
Australia House is supported by the Australian Embassy in the Netherlands and the ASEAN-Australia Centre. Sounds Australia says the initiative is part of a broader strategy to create international opportunities for Australian artists and music businesses.
Electronic music has become an increasingly important component of Australia’s international music business. Figures from Music Australia’s Bass Line report show that the country’s music exports generated $975 million during the 2023–24 financial year.
The timing also gives Australia House an especially significant highlight, as ADE will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.
This year’s event is expected to encompass more than 1,000 programs across over 200 venues, attracting artists, labels, promoters and other industry professionals from across the electronic music world.
