The Warehouse Project has lately formed a partnership with Apple Music, the streaming service’s ‘Club Live’ initiative. Audiences will be able to see performances streamed live on Apple Music Club for free. Details of artists and DJs will be coming up.
The collaboration between Apple Music and The Warehouse Project was unveiled in August 2024 with headliners such as Four Tet, Disclosure, Bonobo, Goldie and Hannah Laing.
The purpose of the partnership is to expand its audience. Promoter and head of new business Mark Abbott says, “This partnership allows us to capture and share the experience of The Warehouse Project (WHP) far beyond Manchester, reaching audience around the world as we platform both homegrown and global talent for years to come.”
Apple has come a long way dating back to September 2021 first announcing that it was putting technology from its Shazam subsidiary to use to identify tracks within DJ mixes so that royalties could be paid accurately for them.
In 2022, Apple began adding spatial-audio DJ mixes to its service.
In December 2024, it launched the Apple Music Club expanding into live-radio service.
In 2025, Apple Music announced a plethora of partnerships with DJ software and hardware brands to integrate its streaming service into their projects and working with Tomorrowland to include exclusive spatial-audio mixes of vintage Avicii sets from its festivals.
In 2026, there is activity that continues to grow as the wider electronic-music ecosystem thrives.
Stephen Campbell, Apple Music’s global head of dance, electronic music, and DJ mixes states, “Bringing WHP into Club Live is a natural extension of our vision to celebrate one of the world’s most influential dance music institutions and connect fans everywhere to the energy of these spaces.”
