As the 2026 FIFA World Cup enters its final week, FIFA Sound has unveiled a new collaboration between Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun and Venezuelan pop star Danny Ocean.

Released through SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings, “Llego” blends Empire of the Sun’s cinematic electronic sound with Danny Ocean’s Latin pop sensibilities, marking a rare collaborative release for the duo. The track arrives as part of FIFA’s ongoing effort to pair global music with the world’s biggest sporting event.

Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun described the song as a reflection of the same sense of connection fostered by the World Cup, saying the track explores themes of unity, belonging, hope and celebration.

The release comes at a busy moment for both artists. Empire of the Sun is preparing to launch its Ask That God Tour: Afterlife, the band’s largest North American tour to date. Beginning August 11 at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the run will include stops at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl and Las Vegas’ PH Live at Planet Hollywood, with Polo & Pan and Midnight Generation joining as special guests on the main dates.

For Danny Ocean, “Llego” follows the release of his latest EP, “babylona blue,” an eight-track project featuring collaborations with Ryan Castro and Timbaland. The singer also recently reached a career milestone by becoming the first Venezuelan artist to headline the opening ceremony of a FIFA World Cup, performing at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca during the tournament’s opening festivities.
