Mexican singer-songwriter Adriana Ríos, best known as La Diabla, recently announced the launch of her new independent record label, known as Diabla Records. The move is set to mark a transformation in the Regional Mexican industry and mark a chapter in her personal rebirth and artistic career.
Ríos decided that it was time to take control of herself and her career after discovering a betrayal in a four-year relationship, and requested a release from her previous label that she had belonged to. That experience inspired a project of her own, a reinvention in the form of La Diabla, an alter ego that Ríos created to represent resilience, transformation, and feminine strength.
The label will kick off with a collection of unreleased songs with a narrative of an emotional journey featuring the strife of breaking up, the healing, and the transformation. Each track is meant to resonate with women who have faced similar challenges and hardships, giving light to the inner power to take control again and reclaim one’s own path.
After six years with another label, Ríos has chosen to create one of her own, a record label that has emerged from her personal and artistic rebirth. The announcement of Diabla Records featured a new beginning for Ríos, where she reclaims her voice and reestablishes her leadership in the music industry. Not only does the project aim to deliver authentic and powerful music, but it is also meant to inspire other women to take the reins over their choices and careers.
Diabla Records may look like a label on the outside, but it is meant to be a symbol of empowerment, transformation, and authenticity. It marks the beginning of a brand new era with Adriana Ríos at the lead, and her all-women team at her back redefining Regional Mexican music.
