The Walt Disney Company and TikTok have announced a global partnership that will integrate short-form, fan-created content into the Disney+ world. Creator communities continue to grow in influence in entertainment marketing, ultimately driving audience engagement.
The collaboration, unveiled on Aug. 5, will begin with a pilot program in the United States before expanding to additional international markets. Under the agreement, Disney+ will introduce a new feature called “Verts on Disney+”, showcasing curated TikTok videos from participating creators alongside content inspired by Disney’s extensive catalog of films, songs and television series.
The initiative will feature videos on multiple of Disney’s brands, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and FX. Creators who opt into the program will have their videos published on both TikTok and Disney+, creating a direct link between social media fandom and the streaming platform.
As part of the partnership, TikTok creators will gain access to official creative assets tied to hundreds of Disney titles, allowing them to produce content using approved materials from across the company’s library.
Disney says the featured videos will be refreshed regularly to reflect trends and encourage deeper fan engagement beyond traditional viewing.
The companies are also launching the Disney Creator Ambassador Program, a joint initiative designed to support content creators through exclusive opportunities, increased visibility, special events and professional development resources.
