The company Believe and its TuneCore subsidary will not distribute tracks creating AI-generated music using “pirate studios”. Pirate studios are unlicensed AI-music platforms. CEO of Believe Denis Ladegaillerie has indicated that one of the banned platforms is Suno. Although Suno is being licensed by Warner Music Group it is being sued by other major labels and does not have a place with Believe. On the other hand, Udio with a new link to Believe doesn’t have a license from Sony Music. Therefore, there is a debate about deals an AI firm needs before being deemed unpiratey.
Despite this, the company is still confident that streaming services will become popular.
