SANTOS BRAVOS, Kapo, Manuel Turizo, Fuerza Regida and Chuyin were first on the James L. Knight Center stage. Here’s who else performs on Thursday.
Three days before the biggest night in Latin music, the James L. Knight Center in Miami already sounds like it.
Rehearsals for the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards started on Monday (Oct. 19). First on stage were SANTOS BRAVOS, Kapo, Manuel Turizo, Fuerza Regida and Chuyin, all set to perform at the ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 22.
The first five acts offer a good snapshot of where Latin music is right now. SANTOS BRAVOS, HYBE Latin America’s new boy band, gets one of the genre’s biggest stages, while Kapo, the Colombian artist behind “La Villa” with Ryan Castro and Gangsta, is a two-time finalist this year. Manuel Turizo comes with his fifth studio album, Apambichao.
Fuerza Regida arrives with 12 finalist nods, including Artist of the Year, and is also in the running for the new fan-voted Fan Artist award. Chuyin, an emerging Mexican artist whose debut album Los locos nunca mueren made Billboard’s charts, rounds out the group.
The rest of the lineup covers almost every corner of the genre: Carlos Rivera, Elvis Crespo, Erick Brian, Ha*Ash, Jessi Uribe, La Nueva Ola de la Cumbia, Melymel, Nanpa Básico, Nella, Ozuna, Pablo Alborán, Paola Jara, Pututi & Nesty, RIZA, Tito Double P, Tony Dize, Víctor Manuelle, Xavi and Yahritza y Su Esencia.
Presenters include Becky G, Lali, Ryan Castro, Gilberto Santa Rosa, José Luis Rodríguez, Ana Mena and Mike Bahía.
Rosalía will be inducted into the Billboard Hall of Fame, Rubén Blades will receive the Billboard Icon Award, and Cristian Castro will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Peso Pluma leads the finalists with 17 nods.
The ceremony, hosted by Carmen Villalobos and Javier Poza, airs live on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. Central) on Telemundo and Peacock, with blue carpet arrivals from 7 p.m. ET. It also streams on Universo and the Telemundo app, and airs across Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional. The show closes Billboard Latin Music Week, which runs in Miami from Oct. 19 to 22.
The sound checks are done. Now it’s on to the main event.
