Ángela Leiva
Argentine singer Ángela Leiva, and this month’s RYM Magazine cover star, reached a major milestone in her career on Thursday night (June 18), performing her first-ever headlining show at Buenos Aires’ iconic Movistar Arena before a sold-out crowd.
The evening served as both a celebration of Leiva’s journey and a showcase of her latest musical chapter. Opening with the recent single “Amnesia,” the singer immediately set an emotional tone, blending new material with the songs that fans have come to know and love over the years.
Throughout the night, fans enthusiastically sang along to staples and favorites, including “Amor Secreto,” “Esa Idiota,” “Mentías” and “Llamadas Extrañas,” transforming the arena into a massive communal karaoke. Leiva also revisited songs inspired by the legacy of Argentine star Gilda, whose influence continues to resonate throughout her music.
The concert gained momentum in its final stretch with a high-energy cuarteto segment that was arguably one of the night’s standout moments. Joined by El Chino of Q’ Lokura, Leiva delivered crowd favorites including “Amor de Mierda,” “Qué Quieres de Mí” and “Yo Era,” drawing one of the most energetic reactions of the evening.
Another highlight came when Euge Quevedo joined Leiva onstage for a special guest appearance. Together, the pair performed “No Podrás” before showcasing their new collaboration, “Enemigas,” live for the first time.
The night concluded with “Amiga Traidora,” as thousands of fans sang every word back to Leiva, bringing a memorable evening to an emotional close.
The sold-out arena show represents another significant step in Leiva’s career that continues to gain momentum. Blending fan favorites, new music and surprise collaborations, the performance underscored her growing status within Argentina’s contemporary music scene.
In the span of one show, it was clear how deeply she has cultivated a connection across the country.
