Yungblud announced on November 15 that he will stop performing live for the remainder of 2025. His doctor ordered the break after voice and blood tests raised concerns. Consequently, he canceled several Idols World Tour dates and promised refunds for U.S. ticket holders.
Media Statement & Fan Response
Yungblud explained the situation directly on social media. He wrote that routine tests “have raised some concerns,” and admitted he often pushes himself too hard. However, he said he must take the doctor’s advice seriously this time. As a result, shows in Philadelphia (Nov. 19), Cleveland (Nov. 23), and Washington, D.C. (Nov. 25–26) are off. Dates in Mexico City and other Latin American cities are also affected. All U.S. tickets will be refunded, and fans who provide an address will receive “a gift.” He added, “My heart is broken,” and promised to make it up to supporters.
Meanwhile, Yungblud’s creative output remains strong. In September, his collaboration with Aerosmith, “My Only Angel,” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Moreover, that track appears on a five-song EP, One More Time, released on November 21. His fourth studio album, Idols, arrived in June, topped the U.K. Albums Chart, and reached No. 15 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. Still, he stressed that he does not want to risk lasting damage. Therefore, he chose recovery over immediate performances.
Plans for 2026
Looking ahead, Yungblud plans to resume touring in January 2026. First, he will play an Australian leg. Then, he will return to the U.K. in April. Finally, he will launch a North American amphitheater tour next summer. For now, fans should expect refunds and watch for the promised gift. Additionally, they should stay tuned for rescheduled dates and official updates from the artist.
In short, Yungblud is prioritizing his long-term health and career. He paused the tour to avoid lasting harm and to ensure he can keep performing for years to come. Consequently, affected fans will receive refunds, and the artist plans to return to the stage in 2026 once he recovers.
