“I knew from the beginning that if I was going to create music, it was going to be female empowerment music.”
Baddie Li has found power in being a baddie. She held her first performance show, Baddie Church, at Beaches Tropicana, where baddies gathered to connect and celebrate. Through her performance, she encouraged her audience to embrace feminine power and inspired women to unlock their inner baddie.
“I define a baddie and a bad b**** in my book as a woman who unapologetically takes charge of her body, her boundaries, and her bank account, and a baddie knows what she wants.”
Baddie Li wasn’t always a rapper. Before Baddie Li, there was Lisa Carmen Wang: a professional gymnast, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and investor.
From the age of nine to nineteen, Wang dedicated herself to gymnastics, earning the title of four-time USA National Champion. After achieving success in the sport, she transitioned into the professional world of finance.
“My goal was to get more money into the hands of women.”
Wang eventually ventured into entrepreneurship, founding Bad B**** Empire and publishing her book, Bad B**** Business Bible, in 2023. Through her work, she guided women toward financial empowerment by teaching them about investing and financial literacy. Although she had found success through her business ventures, she felt there was still more for her to accomplish.

“I’ve had this muscle of reinvention and realizing that identity is flexible.”
Reinvention was not an unfamiliar concept for Wang, who had transformed her career and identity several times throughout her life. Yet, until April 2025, she had never stepped foot in a recording studio.
Initially, walking away from a successful career seemed illogical. However, she recalled having a vision months earlier in which she imagined herself singing and dancing onstage.
“I have always been mission driven and duty driven. I know I’m put on this earth to do big things.”
When Wang heard a voice calling her toward music, she decided to step into the studio and begin recording her singles. Embracing the challenge of starting over in her thirties, she took a leap of faith into the music industry without waiting for anyone’s permission. That moment became a catalyst for Lisa Carmen Wang to find her voice in a new way.
By preserving a part of her identity while embracing another side of herself, she created Baddie Li. Through rap and hip-hop, she expresses herself unapologetically, breaking free from “good girl” expectations while encouraging women to embrace the many dimensions of feminine power.
“It’s the embodiment of your sensuality, your rage, your joy, financial power.”
“I want to take the good parts of church and take the parts about blaming, shaming, guilt, sin away.”
Taking her commitment to female empowerment to the next level, Baddie Li spent the past year meticulously developing her vision for her first Baddie Church show. Her performance featured a violinist, models, and a setlist that included her singles “New Money,” “Hot Like Wasabi,” and “Anymore Champagne.”
Through Baddie Church, Baddie Li seeks to create a space where women can celebrate themselves without judgment or shame. Her mission is to remind women of the power they already possess and encourage them to embrace their feminine energy, individuality, and financial independence.
