The Bureau of Prisons transferred him from FCI Fort Dix to FCI Allenwood Low but won’t say why. His release date has been pushed back to March 2028.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has a new address, and the federal government isn’t explaining the move.
The Bureau of Prisons confirmed that Combs, 56, was moved from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low, a low-security prison near Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Hollywood Reporter says he arrived on Friday (Oct. 16). The Bureau declined to give a reason, citing privacy, safety and security.
The move follows a report by NBC News last month that Combs had kept parts of his old lifestyle in prison. According to the report, he smuggled in Hennessy, had other inmates cook, clean, make his bed and give him massages, and used a contraband cellphone.
After that report, Combs was placed in the prison’s special housing unit, an area for inmates with disciplinary or security issues. He also lost 41 days of good-conduct credit. According to a person familiar with the matter cited by the AP, that pushes his release date back to March 2, 2028.

On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Combs had been hurt in a fight with another inmate. In a rare public rebuttal, the Bureau of Prisons told the AP: “The story you are referring to is false and did not happen.”
Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, said placement decisions belong to the Bureau of Prisons and that Combs “remains focused on moving forward.”
Combs is serving four years and two months after a jury convicted him last year on prostitution-related charges for transporting people across state lines for sexual encounters. The same jury acquitted him of the most serious charges, sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
In April, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals heard his bid to overturn the conviction, with his lawyers arguing that the sentence was too harsh. The court has not ruled yet.
The prison has changed. The release date and the appeal are still the two things to watch.
