Civic Video
Indie-rock band Civic Video has released its latest EP, Making Room For Others, a six-track project that explores a range of sounds and emotions.
The EP is led by vocalist Zac Newton-John, whose vocals and lyricism are featured throughout the project. According to Independent Music Update, Making Room For Others moves between vulnerable moments and more energetic sections while incorporating soaring melodies, nostalgic atmospheres and prominent guitar work.
The six-track EP features songs including “Just Like You,” “Say It Out Loud” and “Get Back To It.” “Just Like You” takes a more intimate approach, while “Say It Out Loud” and “Get Back To It” feature more driving instrumentation.
Throughout the project, Civic Video shifts between softer and more energetic moments, creating contrast across the six-track release. The combination of Newton-John’s vocals and the band’s guitar-focused sound helps shape the EP’s indie-rock style.
