Billboard recently reported its Boxscore figures for April 2026, with BTS’ “Arirang World Tour” topping the charts. This marks the group’s first world tour since 2019, after their planned 2020 “Map of the Soul Tour” was canceled during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The South Korean K-pop group is off to a record-setting start, generating more than $120 million in ticket sales during the tour’s first month.
BTS grossed $76.2 million and sold 417,000 tickets across eight shows in April, according to Billboard. With additional dates in early May, the total climbed to $124 million and 660,000 tickets sold as of May 10.
The strong launch places the “Arirang World Tour” among the year’s top-grossing outings and continues BTS’ track record of chart-topping touring success. The group has now reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Tours chart three times and has led the Top Boxscore chart on five occasions.
The tour opened in South Korea and Japan in April, where five shows grossed a combined $35.5 million. Momentum accelerated in the United States, with three stadium shows in Tampa, Florida, bringing in $40.7 million from 194,000 tickets. The run ranked as the highest-grossing single-venue engagement of the month and outperformed the tour’s earlier Asia dates combined.
Overall, the current trek is quickly approaching the group’s previous touring benchmarks. BTS’ “Love Yourself World Tour” grossed $213.9 million from 1.7 million tickets sold in 2018-19, while their “Permission to Dance on Stage” concerts brought in $75.5 million. The “Arirang World Tour” has already surpassed the latter figure.
On a per-show basis, the numbers reflect continued growth. Dates in Asia averaged $7.1 million per show, while early U.S. stops have averaged $12.1 million and more than 58,000 tickets. The tour is also the group’s most expansive to date, with 85 stadium shows scheduled— up from 62 on the Love Yourself run.
Spanning multiple continents, the tour has already reached Asia, the United States and Mexico, with additional legs planned across Europe, South America and Australia before concluding in Asia.
On May 22, the group released details on the final leg of their tour, with the Asia dates beginning on Nov. 19, and the Australian dates not beginning until 2027, on Feb. 12. Tickets will be available for AMRY membership presale on Tuesday, June 2, and general public sale will begin Thursday, June 4 at btsworldtourofficial.com.
If current trends continue, the tour is projected to approach $500 million in total revenue and draw more than 3 million fans, potentially accounting for more than half of BTS’ career touring totals.
