Los Angeles, CA – February 1st, 2026 – The 68th Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony is live now and it was already clear the night would be full of big moments and major wins.
One of those moments belonged to FKA twigs, who won Best Dance/Electronic Album for Eusexua Afterglow. She described the win as “incredible” and “an out of body experience,” emphasizing just how grateful she felt to have this era of her work recognized.
Speaking on the creative process behind the album, twigs explained that it began in the most unexpected places. “This creative process started writing lyrics in toilets of underground raves in Prague,” she said. She shared that the project marked her first deep dive into techno, exploring the genre in the rawest and deepest parts of culture. She described the journey as long and challenging, making the recognition even more meaningful.

Twigs also emphasized the importance of real connection. She spoke about stepping away from phones, apps, and short form content, and instead being fully present with one another. Her message was simple. Get out. Go to the rave.
During her acceptance speech, twigs thanked her producers, her boyfriend, and Atlantic Records. She closed with a message to fellow artists, reminding them that she has been doing this for a long time. Her advice was clear. Do not give up. Follow your vision. Do you, because that is what makes the world fall in love with your art.
