Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo has officially achieved a flawless chart trifecta. Her highly anticipated third studio album, titled you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart for the week dated June 27.
According to data compiled by independent tracking provider Luminate, the new release generated a massive four hundred eighty five thousand equivalent album units in the United States during its opening tracking week ending June 18. This commercial milestone marks the biggest overall units week of Rodrigo’s entire career, while simultaneously locking in the largest single week of 2026 for any solo artist. With this latest achievement, she successfully maintains a perfect album catalog streak, following her previous number one multi platinum records SOUR in 2021 and GUTS in 2023.
The incredible commercial debut was heavily fueled by dominant metrics across multiple consumption formats. Traditional pure album sales accounted for two hundred seventy three thousand copies, powered significantly by a widespread physical rollout that included more than fifteen physical album variants and two signed editions. Out of those initial sales, vinyl purchases alone accounted for one hundred sixty four thousand units, marking the largest vinyl sales week for a female artist this year. On the digital side, streaming equivalent units reached two hundred eleven thousand, totaling over two hundred eighteen million on demand audio and video streams.
The studio album’s chart dominance was preceded by two top five singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including the chart topping track drop dead and the follow up hit the cure. To support the chart topping project, Rodrigo will launch a massive global trek named The Unraveled Tour, which is scheduled to kick off this September in Hartford, Connecticut and run through May 2027.
