Jenicka Lopez is ready to tell her own story. As the youngest daughter of the late, legendary Jenni Rivera, Jenicka has spent much of her life in the public eye. Now, she is stepping out of her comfort zone and into her own voice in a brand-new six-episode docuseries titled Jenicka’s Journeys.
Produced by Busy Bee Productions and executive produced by her sister Chiquis, along with Richard Bull, Sebastian Jimenez, Andres Palencia, and Bruno Ulloa, the series offers an intimate look at adulting, identity, and healing in the modern era.
The series moves between nostalgia and forward momentum, blending travel, culture, and personal storytelling. Throughout the season, Jenicka confronts personal phobias, tackles new challenges, and addresses conversations around Gen Z and Millennial identity, mental health, and family dynamics.
Some of the season’s key highlights include:
- Overcoming Fears: Jenicka faces her fears of snakes, bugs, and spiders alongside artist Snow Tha Product.
- Personal Growth: Stepping into new, sometimes uncomfortable situations like speed dating.
- Health and Wellness: Leading her very first fitness class after becoming Lagree-certified.
The series kicked off its six-episode run with a special two-part premiere event:
- Episode 1: The Road Begins (April 30) In the premiere, Jenicka invites her sister Chiquis to a special getaway in Santa Barbara for a sleepover under the stars. The cozy escape serves as a backdrop for them to share laughter, make sweet memories, and reflect on how much Jenicka has grown up.
- Episode 2: The Road Trip Continues (May 7) The adventure continues with Chiquis in Santa Barbara, bringing more than one surprise and sparking some difficult, vulnerable conversations.
Jenicka’s Journeys delivers a tone that is equal parts candid, humorous, and self-aware. Supported by guest appearances from cultural figures such as Snow Tha Product, Mayra and Karina Garcia, and Shawty Bae, the show brings a fresh, authentic perspective that resonates with younger audiences navigating the transition into adulthood.
