Digital sheet music platform Enote is expanding its use of artificial intelligence with a new feature designed to simplify how musicians manage their collections.
The app has unveiled Recognize My Score, an AI-powered tool that analyzes uploaded sheet music and automatically identifies key information, eliminating the need for musicians to manually organize their files.
Rather than displaying uploaded PDFs with only their file names, the feature extracts details including the work’s title, composer, instrumentation, edition, duration and publication information. The metadata is then used to categorize the score within a user’s personal library, making large collections significantly easier to search and navigate.
The update aims to streamline a task familiar to performers, conductors and educators who often work with hundreds, or even thousands of digital scores. By automatically recognizing and sorting uploaded music, Enote hopes to reduce the time spent managing files and allow musicians to focus more on practice and performance.
If the uploaded piece is not already available within Enote’s catalog, users can choose to contribute it to the platform’s shared library, expanding the collection for the broader community. The service currently hosts more than 80,000 scores, with user submissions helping to grow its archive.
Alongside the new recognition technology, Enote continues to offer tools that improve the readability of scanned sheet music. Users can automatically straighten pages, crop scans and reorder PDF pages with a single tap, reducing the amount of manual editing typically required after digitizing printed scores.
