Veteran music executive Cindy Mabe is stepping into a new chapter with the launch of Joan of Arc Music, a Nashville-based venture designed to span multiple corners of the industry, from artist management to film production, while doubling down on country music’s creative roots.
Mabe, who previously led Universal Music Group Nashville for over a decade, helped guide the careers of major artists including Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban and George Strait. Her new company reflects a broadened vision, integrating label services, publishing, content production, and philanthropy under one umbrella.
A key component of the launch is a distribution partnership with Warner Records Nashville, part of the wider Warner Music Group ecosystem. The deal provides Joan of Arc Music with access to global distribution and marketing infrastructure, positioning it to scale both emerging and established acts internationally.
Structured across four divisions, the company includes a core entertainment arm, a studio-focused production unit, an investment branch and a nonprofit foundation aimed at preserving country music heritage. Early philanthropic partners include the CMA Foundation, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and Porter’s Call, signaling a commitment that extends beyond commercial ambitions.
Mabe’s move comes at a moment she describes as pivotal for the genre, with increasing tension between tradition and modernization. By pairing a creator-first philosophy with contemporary distribution strategies, Joan of Arc Music aims to bridge that divide, protecting country’s storytelling legacy while adapting it for a global, digital-first audience.
