Australian artists need to be shown a little more love, and they want fans to proudly show it. Major Australian artists are participating in the national Ausify campaign, which encourages fans to publicly express their love for their favorite Aussie musicians. Now in its second year, the campaign initially launched on November 2.
This year’s campaign message is PDA: Public Displays of Ausify.
Whether it’s introducing friends to a cool Australian artist, wearing a band’s T-shirt, or singing along to songs so loudly that others join in or become curious enough to add a new track to their playlists, there are plenty of ways to show support.

Unfortunately, Australian music is not receiving the recognition it deserves. According to APRA AMCOS’ latest Year in Review, only 8.5% of music streamed in Australia comes from Australian artists. The findings revealed a concerning trend, with listeners in Australia streaming homegrown tracks 31% less than they did five years ago.
Although fans genuinely appreciate local talent, public enthusiasm remains relatively quiet. The Ausify movement aims to turn the tide by inspiring listeners to proudly champion their favorite artists and openly display their appreciation.
A lineup of passionate musicians has stepped up to help spread the initiative. Alongside Ben Lee, Missy Higgins, Ruel, and Budjerah, participating artists include Fanny Lumsden, Astrid Jorgensen, aleksiah, Ayesha Madon, Becca Hatch, Georgia Maq, ISHAN, Nooky, Vv Pete, and Conor Jacob Smith of Midnight Til Morning.
Throughout November, artists and fans will be encouraged to share their own Public Displays of Ausify, helping transform individual acts of appreciation into a nationwide celebration of Australian music. It is important to let Aussie artists know how much fans appreciate their music by sharing their music for all to hear.
