Recently, Cris Lacy has been named as the new chair and new president of the freshly rebranded Warner Records Nashville (formerly named Warner Music Nashville). Former co-chair and co-president Gregg Nadel has stepped up to the next leadership level within Warner Music Group, officially passing on the torch to Lacy.
The move in Nashville was reported as the “latest in the expansion of the Warner Records Group”, according to a press release announcing the news. Another on Lacy’s appointment, “The company continues to build a unified global structure that crosses genres and geographies.” Added to that statement, “With the establishment of Warner Records Nashville, the label’s activities will be more closely aligned with the Warner Records Group team to support and ignite the country music’s cultural resonance and global potential.”
Lacy has twenty years of experience under her belt at Warner Music Nashville, first appointed as co-president in 2022 with Ben Kline, who stepped down in 2024 and made way for Gregg Nadel to take his place. “Warner Records is a powerful brand, and we know that we’re stronger when we work together to propel our artists and their life’s work to new heights,” says Lacy.
Lacy has proven to be a strong candidate for the co-chair and co-president position, as expressed by her fellow Warner Records Group associates. “Her passion, vision, and unwavering respect for artistry define the label’s spirit and have earned the trust of the Nashville community,” Warner Records’ Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck said in a joint statement. “Together, we’re collaborating closer, and expanding the reach and opportunities for artists in a genre where the future feels limitless. This is an exciting next step as we continue to forge a global ecosystem that amplifies our competitive edge and impact for our artists.”
Lacy continues to set the bar high at Warner Records Group with her team-based attitude and ambition to propel new artists into stardom.
