Los Angeles, California (July 24, 2025)- Santiago Cruz isn’t here to chase trends or adhere to formulas; his music flows directly from the gut. Today, he unveils “¿Qué Más Da? (2025 Version),” an acoustic duet with Juan Pablo Vega that strips down to the purest essence of his upcoming album, Quince de Caminos. This release marks a poignant closure to a sonic chapter before the full album drops on August 28, a date that also sees Cruz wrap up the U.S. leg of his tour at Miami’s Manuel Artime Theater.
“¿Qué Más Da?” is a masterclass in understated power, proving that a song doesn’t need flashy production or heavy beats to resonate deeply. It’s built on a foundation of raw emotion and the warmth of wood: three acoustic guitars, a subtly breathing bassline, and vocals that refuse to hide behind polish. Cruz and Vega create a palpable intimacy, leaning into each other’s melodies like old friends jamming in a living room, yet delivering an intensity that cuts through and lingers long after the final note. The deliberate use of silence within the track amplifies its impact, making every chord and every vocal nuance count.
The song itself carries a profound backstory. It was born from an unexpected, yet perfectly timed, message during a difficult period in Cruz’s life. Someone reached out to him, sharing how one of his songs had offered them comfort. That single message, he reveals, became a pivotal moment, reigniting his purpose, pushing him to continue writing, and ultimately sparking the creation of Cruce de Caminos—the album that reshaped his career. “What More Matters?” (“¿Qué Más Da?”) is his heartfelt response, a quiet thank you, a song dedicated to the countless individuals who have found solace and shelter within his music.
In an era often dominated by algorithms and the relentless pursuit of likes, this song intentionally carves a different path. It’s a testament to honesty and connection over fleeting engagement. Its folk-leaning sound and an undeniable Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young energy are a deliberate stylistic choice—a nostalgic yet refreshing return to the foundational reasons why music matters in the first place.
This poignant release also sets the emotional tone for Quince de Caminos La Gira in the U.S., a tour making stops in key cities including Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Austin, Houston, Dallas, and more. Each performance offers fans a unique opportunity to reconnect with songs that have shaped a generation, now reimagined with the depth and wisdom that only time can bring. The tour culminates on August 28 in Miami, coinciding with the official release of Quince de Caminos—a night promising an experience as intimate as it is powerful.
“With great excitement, we return to the U.S. with Quince de Caminos La Gira, this time to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the album that changed my life, my career, and that, without a doubt, brought me closer to many of the people who have followed my work: Cruce de Caminos,” Santiago shared. He added details about the intimate tour setup: “This time, in addition to cities we’ve played before — Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, Long Island, Boston, Chicago, Orlando, and Miami — we’ll be visiting several cities for the first time: St. Louis, Austin, Houston, and Dallas. Thirteen shows in twelve cities. It’s just the four of us on stage, with the promise to give everything we have, as always, revisiting songs from that album with some refreshed arrangements, a couple of new songs, and a trip through a catalog that you, the audience, have made unforgettable.”
