Warner Music Group recently announced a new executive hire, Leda Chang to drive what it calls its “always on” fan-focused catalog and artist marketing strategy. Chang was appointed to the newly introduced role of SVP, Global Brand and Audience for WMG’s Global Catalog division. In the new post, Chang will work closely with Global Catalog President Kevin Gore and his senior team that will “turbocharge the company’s ‘always on’ marketing strategy.”
The Los Angeles-based executive will implement a “holistic, artist-centric approach to long-term catalog development and legacy building.” Chang will lead efforts to “deepen audience engagement and mine untapped opportunities to drive fresh growth for WMG’s legendary artists.”
On Thursday, November 6th, WMG stated that the addition of Chang to its Global Catalog team will mark the latest move that is “designed to amplify the company’s catalog marketing strategy.” Chang has two decades of digital and social marketing experience across a plethora of top media and music companies–with senior posts at Peacock, Universal Music Group, Edelman Digital, and Paramount Pictures.
