TIDAL has launched Upload, a beta feature that lets creators add original audio directly to the platform. This removes traditional distributor gatekeepers. How Upload Works
Uploading is simple and fast. First, tap the Upload icon and add your file. Then choose whether the track is public or private. However, limits apply: files must be under 5 GB and users can upload up to 200 tracks. Also, uploads must be original and free of third-party samples. Spotlight & Incentives
TIDAL pairs Upload with two incentive programs. First, Spotlight lets Editorial review public uploads for playlists and in-app features. If selected, tracks earn $100 per day for each placement. Consequently, artists gain both money and exposure. Second, Upload Headliners runs from November 13 through December 31. During that period, ten US-based artists will each win $100,000 to fund their next creative chapter. Entrants must be 18 or older and link a valid US Cash App account to receive awards. If you uploaded before November 13, you can still enter by submitting an existing upload via a form. In addition, Spotlight choices are based on quality and fit for TIDAL’s curated playlists.
