The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” Tops R&B/Hip-Hop Charts

The song’s record-breaking 59 weeks in the top 10 makes it the longest-running hit in the chart’s 66-year history. It also spent 11 weeks at No. 1, the most of The Weeknd’s nine career chart-toppers.
In November 2021, “Blinding Lights” also topped Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Songs chart, highlighting its all-time, all-genre appeal.
The Weeknd said: “I just count my blessings, and I’m just grateful.”
The ranking reflects performance on weekly Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts from January 1, 2000, through December 28, 2024.
