Atlantic Music Group and Fader Label have officially entered into a multi level partnership designed to scale the reach of both organizations. This deal is the latest in a series of strategic joint ventures led by Atlantic CEO Elliot Grainge, who has prioritized identifying and nurturing artists with a proven track record of artist development. The partnership includes a 50/50 joint venture to sign and develop new and established artists, alongside comprehensive distribution and support services for Fader Label’s independent roster and catalogue.
Strengthening the Independent Pipeline
The agreement provides Atlantic Music Group with access to a thoughtfully curated roster that has generated billions of streams worldwide. Since its launch in 2002, Fader Label has been home to influential artists like Clairo, Matt and Kim, and Slayyyter. By integrating Fader Label into the Atlantic family, AMG is securing a reputable tastemaker that has consistently demonstrated an ability to shape music in new and exciting ways.
This partnership also involves a significant expansion of Fader Distribution, the label’s independent distribution arm. The goal is to enhance the bespoke services available to developing artists, allowing them to benefit from Atlantic’s global infrastructure while maintaining their independent spirit.
A Shared Vision for Artist Development
For Elliot Grainge, the partnership is about a shared spirit of intentionality in craft. Since assuming his role at Atlantic Music Group, Grainge has been active in forming partnerships with boutique labels like Today Is Vintage and BuVision. Fader Label CEO Jon Cohen noted that the decision to join forces with Atlantic was driven by a mutual commitment to putting artists first and a willingness to break traditional industry rules.
As Fader Label continues its mission to champion singular artists, the backing of Atlantic Music Group provides the necessary firepower to take their artist forward approach to the next level. This deal solidifies Fader’s position as a key player in the global music business while giving Atlantic a direct line to the next wave of independent talent.
