Since opening its doors in 2006, The Listening Room has earned its reputation as “one of Nashville’s favorite music venues” (The Tennessean) by prioritizing the simple but powerful connection between the songwriter and the audience. Now, after two decades of championing original music and emerging talent, the iconic Nashville venue is planning a landmark celebration. Owner and Founder Chris Blair has announced that The Listening Room will host its 20th Anniversary Show at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 3, 2026. This single event promises to be a “full-circle moment” for the venue and the countless artists it has supported.
A Star-Studded Celebration of the Song
The anniversary concert will be an “epic night” featuring some of the biggest names and most talented storytellers who have graced The Listening Room’s stage. The lineup already boasts major headliners like HARDY, Blessing Offor, Jo Dee Messina, and Mitchell Tenpenny. They will be joined by celebrated songwriters, including Phil Barton, Brian Davis, J.T. Harding, Matt Jenkins, Wendell Mobley, and James Slater, with promises of more special guests to be announced. This stacked roster reflects The Listening Room’s history of hosting legends like Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, Chris Stapleton, and Lainey Wilson. The event truly honors Blair’s founding belief: “Music comes to us through song. And every song has a songwriter.”

More Than Just a Venue: The Listening Room’s Legacy
The current home of The Listening Room, located in Nashville’s historic International Harvester building, is a haven for fans seeking authentic performances. The venue has proven its global appeal, selling over a quarter million tickets to fans from 53 countries in the past two years alone. Beyond the shows, the venue maintains its focus on craft through its popular Stories Behind The Songs podcast, hosted by Chris Blair, featuring in-depth interviews with industry figures like Liz Rose and Walker Hayes. In the spirit of community, The Listening Room’s monthly “Sound Good Do Good” shows have also raised over $170,000 for worthy causes, proving its commitment extends beyond music alone.
