BeatStars CEO, Abe Batshon
For years, buying and selling beats was slow and frustrating. Producers mailed CDs, artists waited weeks, and creativity often stalled. Abe Batshon saw the flaws early and launched BeatStars to transform how music is created, licensed, and monetized.
Building a Global Ecosystem
Today, BeatStars is more than a marketplace. With 10 million creators and $400 million paid out, it has become a global ecosystem. Batshon calls it “a studio in the cloud, a business hub, a publishing partner, a rights agency, and a community where creators can build sustainable careers.” The platform powers viral hits on short-form video apps and fuels chart-toppers like Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road and dozens of Billboard Hot 100 tracks.

BeatStars thrives by balancing innovation with protection. Batshon partners with AI platforms like Lemonaide to help creators break blocks and experiment with new sounds. At the same time, he works with Sureel to stop unauthorized scraping of BeatStars’ catalog. “We believe you don’t have to choose between innovation and protection—you can do both,” Batshon explains. This dual approach reflects the company’s mission: empower creators while safeguarding their rights.
Revenue Model Built for Creators
The revenue model also aligns with creator success. Most income comes from subscriptions that provide advanced tools. BeatStars takes only a small fee on sales, leaving most revenue with producers and artists. Services like Promote and publishing administration help creators market and manage their work. Batshon sums it up: “If our creators don’t thrive, neither do we.” That philosophy has enabled producers worldwide to pay rent, clear debts, and build careers on their own terms.
BeatStars is more than a platform—it’s a movement toward independence, transparency, and entrepreneurship in music. By combining creativity with business savvy, Batshon is redefining what it means to be a creator in the digital era. The future of music belongs to those who harness both technology and humanity, building sustainable careers while keeping ownership at the core.
