The Colombian music collective Systema Solar, recognized for its vibrant fusion of Afro-Caribbean rhythms with electronica, has taken a monumental step by joining Sounds Right, a global initiative led by the United Nations Museum – UN Live. Announced recently in Bogotá, this alliance seeks to transform music into a powerful tool against the climate crisis. Their anthem, “Tiene Poderes FT NATURA” (It Has Powers FT NATURE), has been selected to amplify an urgent message: the need to preserve the planet’s “green lungs,” the Amazon and the Congo Basin. As Systema Solar vocalist Jhonpri mentioned, the song is a reminder that “preserving the tropical forests is also preserving our own existence and the cultural diversity that defines us.”
Nature as a Featured Artist
This collaboration is not just about a song, but a paradigm shift in the music industry through the FEAT. NATURE platform. Launched by Sounds Right, this pioneering initiative allows any artist to officially include NATURE as a collaborator on their music. The most important factor is the impact it generates: 50% of the royalties earned go directly to global conservation, supporting the indigenous and local communities who are guardians of these vital ecosystems. World-class artists, including four-time Grammy winner Antonio Sánchez, Nigerian Lady Donli, and Ghanaian producer Juls, are already part of this collection. Gabriel Smales, Director of the Global Program for Sounds Right, highlights that “Every listen contributes to supporting the indigenous and local communities who protect the Amazon and the Congo Basin, the lungs of our planet.”

A Commitment to Roots and Resistance
For Systema Solar, this project is the natural extension of their historical commitment to sustainability and cultural resistance. Since their inception, the collective from the Colombian Caribbean has used its mix of champeta, cumbia, and hip hop to promote messages of identity and care for the earth. “Protecting the Amazon is a commitment to life and to art as a tool for consciousness,” states Systema Solar. The initiative, which aligns with important events like COP 30 in the Brazilian Amazon, has already generated over $600,000 USD for conservation since its launch in 2024.
The call is clear: the connection between music and conservation has never been so direct and simple. We invite you to be part of this movement. Artists, join FEAT. NATURE and fans, listen to your favorite tracks. Every stream now has the power to fund the protection of global biodiversity.
