An icon of music, fashion, and culture is heading to Los Angeles. The GRAMMY Museum has officially announced a special, limited-time pop-up exhibition titled “Selena: From Texas To The World,” set to open its doors on January 15, 2026. This highly anticipated display promises to be an intimate celebration of Selena’s enduring impact, offering fans a unique opportunity to see her personal artifacts and most memorable career items up close. Crucially, this event marks the first time many of these treasured belongings will be displayed outside of the official Selena Museum in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas.
A Never-Before-Seen Glimpse Into a Legend
The exhibition, co-curated in collaboration with Selena’s sister and President of Q Productions, Suzette Quintanilla, aims to provide a deeper look into the life and artistry of the Queen of Tejano music. Visitors will be able to view iconic pieces, including the white beaded Lillie Rubin gown she wore to the 1994 GRAMMY Awards®, along with instruments played by her siblings, Suzette and A.B. Quintanilla III, and her husband, Chris Pérez. The artifacts powerfully underline Selena’s groundbreaking career—she was the first female Tejano artist to win a GRAMMY® Award, a moment celebrated by Suzette: “This exhibit is a beautiful tribute to her spirit, her culture and the unwavering love she had for fans.”

Transcending Genres and Generations
Selena’s influence extends far beyond her chart-topping hits like “Como La Flor” and “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” As GRAMMY Museum Curator Kelsey Goelz noted, “Selena’s impact transcends genres and generations. She paved the way for so many artists who followed in her footsteps.” From shimmering bustiers to bold red lipstick, Selena was a true fashion pioneer whose signature style remains a powerful touchstone in pop culture today. Her charisma, determination, and pride in her Mexican-American heritage cemented her status as a symbol of empowerment for communities worldwide.
“Selena: From Texas To The World” will run for a limited engagement at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles from January 15, 2026, through March 16, 2026. This special display is an incredible chance for lifelong fans to feel closer to the legendary star and for a new generation to discover her lasting genius. Don’t miss this historic event honoring the legacy of a true bicultural icon. For tickets and more information on the exhibit, be sure to visit the GRAMMY Museum website soon!
