The announcement is highlighted by the release of ‘Dear Pink Floyd,’ a new poem written and performed by the UK Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage. Armitage’s work captures five decades of affinity with the album, paying particular tribute to the spirit of Syd Barrett, much like the album itself. Armitage commented, “I wanted the text to be a physical manifestation of that [warm wall of sound].”
The Wish You Were Here 50 collection is packed with rarities and new audio, including six unreleased alternative versions and demos. Notably, a new demo of “Welcome to the Machine” is available now, and for the first time, fans will receive the official release of the legendary April 1975 Los Angeles Sports Arena bootleg recording, meticulously restored and remastered by Steven Wilson.

The album will be available in 3LP, 2CD, Blu-ray, digital formats (including a new Dolby Atmos mix by James Guthrie), and an ultimate Deluxe Box Set, which features exclusive vinyl, a replica Japanese 7” single, and the Armitage poem in a hardcover book.
