Revisiting Their Fastest-Selling Release
Decades after the iconic release of “Wish You Were Here,” Pink Floyd announced a special 50th anniversary edition of the album that will release on digital, CD, deluxe box set, and, for the first time, Dolby Atmos. The new edition will premiere on December 12, with the audio and lyric video for the previously unheard demo of “Welcome to the Machine” available now.
25 Historical Recordings
The re-release will provide superfans with new perspectives on the record, whether it be through the modernized Dolby Atmos immersive audio versions of classic tracks or through six archived unheard alternate versions and demos of what would go on to become some of the most defining music of the 20th century. Additionally, the digital release will include a whopping 25 bonus tracks, including 9 studio rarities and 16 remastered live performances. The Blu-ray edition includes 3 concert screen films and a Storm Thorgerson short film.

50th Anniversary Merch
All other editions include mixed combos of the original tracks, bonus tracks, live recordings, and films, depending on the edition, but the deluxe boxed set will include exclusive merchandise and recordings for the most hardcore fans: a comic book tour program, a Knebworth concert poster, a replica Japanese 7″ single of “Have a Cigar” and “Welcome to the Machine,” a hardcover book with unreleased photos, and a vinyl LP, “Live at Wembley 1974.” There will also be new 50th anniversary merch available separate from the boxed set available on the band and publisher’s sites.
