Los Angeles, California (August 19, 2025)- Multi-BRIT and Mercury Prize-nominated artist Olivia Dean today releases “Man I Need,” the third single from her highly anticipated second album, The Art of Loving, due out September 26 via Capitol Records.
“Man I Need” arrives as a bolt of pure positivity, an intrepid love song driven by an energetic rhythm section and Dean’s smooth, soulful vocals. The accompanying video, directed by Jake Erland, serves as a “sister video” to her previous singles, continuing a unique visual narrative. “Man I Need is a song about knowing how you deserve to be loved and not being afraid to ask for it,” Dean shared. “It’s bold, sexy, fun! It’s made for dancing!”
The new album, The Art of Loving, is conceived as a tender and deliberate dive into the many dimensions of love—be it romantic, platonic, or self-love. With her characteristic warmth and lyrical honesty, Dean invites listeners into a new era of sound and storytelling. The album follows her critically acclaimed debut, Messy, which solidified her status as one of the most captivating voices in neo-soul and pop.
Dean recently wrapped a successful, sold-out North American tour that culminated in two nights at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. She has also been busy on the road opening for other major artists. She recently supported Sam Fender on his UK tour, where they performed their new collaboration, “Rein Me In,” at a sold-out London Stadium. She will also join Sabrina Carpenter on her U.S. tour in October and November, which includes a remarkable five sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden. Dean is also scheduled to perform at festivals like FORWARDS Bristol and Austin City Limits.
With a prolific year of new music and major tour dates, Olivia Dean is continuing her rise as one of the UK’s most captivating artists.
