Building on the Hit
On September 12, Netón Vega revealed his new track “Parado no Bailão Mundial,” a remix of the Brazilian hit by MC L da Vinte and MC Gury. However, on this version, Vega has also called in a feature from the newly viral star Anitta.
Rises to Fame
The remix incorporates Mexican contemporary elements into the urban Brazilian song. Its release also coincides with all of its artists’ international rises to fame: MC L da Vinte and MC Gury’s original version of the track quickly received over 500 million streams on Spotify thanks to it going viral on social media, and Anitta’s well-established career only expanded when she was introduced to American audiences on The Weeknd’s “São Paulo.”

Awards Season
Maybe the remix’s release will have the most impact for the young Netón Vega, who at just 21 years old received nominations at this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards and MTV Music Awards, and earlier in his career scored collaborations with Peso Pluma and Tiësto. He considers 2025 to be the best year of his career so far. “Working with artists I admire and bringing Mexican music to global stages is something I dreamed of as a kid,” Netón Vega said. “This year has been crazy in the best way—we’re just getting started.”
