Los Angeles, California (April 24, 2025)- María Becerra, Pablo Alborán, and Prince Royce will be in charge of bringing rhythm and excitement to the great night of Ibero-American audiovisuals at the 12th edition of the PLATINO Awards, which will be held this Sunday, April 27, at the IFEMA Madrid Municipal Palace. In a gala that brings together the best of Spanish and Portuguese cinema and television, music will have a starring role with three unique performances by artists who represent the diversity and talent of the region.
Argentine María Becerra will offer a special moment by debuting a new unreleased song live and internationally. This performance will mark a new milestone in her meteoric career, which has made her one of the most influential voices in Latin music today. With over 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Becerra has received numerous recognitions, including seven Latin Grammy nominations and awards such as the Carlos Gardel, LOS40 Music Awards, and Latin American Music Awards. In 2024, she made history by becoming the first female artist to perform at the River Plate stadium with two sold-out shows, and this year, she continues her international expansion with her #Tour24, which will take her to more than fifty stages in Europe, the United States, and Latin America.
From Spain, Pablo Alborán will present “Clickbait,” the first single from his upcoming album, in what promises to be an intimate and powerful performance. Alborán is one of the most prominent artists in the Hispanic scene, with more than a decade of career, six albums, and 24 Latin Grammy nominations. His artistic sensitivity and closeness to the audience have established him as one of the most beloved singer-songwriters in the Spanish-speaking world. Throughout his career, he has filled stadiums in Spain and Latin America, and has collaborated with big names like Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin, María Dolores Pradera, and Jorge Drexler.
On his part, American Prince Royce will bring the unmistakable energy of bachata to the gala. The artist will present a preview of his upcoming album “ETERNO,” with a medley of Spanish and English versions of iconic songs, including his new single “How Deep Is Your Love.” Royce, with over 14 billion global streams and 10 million albums sold, is one of the most recognized names in the tropical genre. Throughout his career, he has earned 25 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 21 Lo Nuestro Awards, and 9 Latin American Music Awards, as well as having worked with artists like Shakira, J Balvin, Maluma, Jennifer Lopez, and Bad Bunny.
The PLATINO Awards, driven by EGEDA and FIPCA, aim to recognize and promote Ibero-American cinema and the audiovisual industry globally. Throughout its twelve editions, it has brought together the best in the sector in venues such as Panama, Mexico, Uruguay, and Spain.
