One of the live industry’s most influential agents is making a move between two of its biggest powerhouses. Just days after confirming she would step away from William Morris Endeavor (WME), longtime music executive Lucy Dickins has landed a new role as managing director at Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
Dickins is expected to begin the position in mid-April and will operate out of the agency’s Los Angeles headquarters. Specific details about her responsibilities and roster have yet to be revealed, but her arrival marks another major addition to CAA’s music division.
In a statement announcing the move, Dickins emphasized her excitement about joining the company and its leadership team. She highlighted the opportunity to deepen creative partnerships with artists and help guide their careers worldwide, something she has spent decades doing.
CAA leadership echoed that sentiment. Agency co-chairman and CEO Bryan Lourd described Dickins as a standout executive with an exceptional ability to understand artists’ ambitions and translate them into long-term career strategies. He called out her global experience and leadership skills as assets that will strengthen the agency across multiple departments.
Her arrival does not change the current structure of CAA’s touring operation. The division remains overseen by co-heads Darryl Eaton, Emma Banks, and Rick Roskin, who took charge of the global touring unit in 2024 and currently supervise a staff of more than 300.
Dickins’ path into the upper ranks of the music business began in London. She joined the International Talent Booking agency founded by her father, promoter Barry Dickins, in the late 1990s. Her tenure at WME began in 2019, and she later relocated to the United States to oversee contemporary music and touring worldwide.
Her move also continues a recent trend of talent migration between the two agencies. Earlier this year, touring agent Tony Goldring and pop division executive David Bradley both left WME for positions at CAA, signaling an ongoing reshaping of the competitive landscape at the top of the global booking business.
