Los Angeles, California (July 25, 2025)- Ivor Novello Rising Star winner and BRIT Award nominee, Lola Young, today unveils her latest single, “d£aler,” a captivating taste of her eagerly awaited album, ‘I’m Only Fking Myself,’** set to release on September 19th.
While “d£aler” candidly documents Lola’s turbulent journey through the struggles of self-sabotage, it’s wrapped in one of the album’s most infectious melodies. A choppy drum beat, swirling synths, and vibrant guitars envelop what is, lyrically, one of the album’s most personal and introspective tracks.
‘I’m Only Fking Myself’ is poised to be a pivotal work, summarizing Lola’s significant emotional and musical growth. It’s described as a brilliant and poignant body of work that frequently delves into dark and raw territory, yet is consistently balanced by Lola’s uncompromising attitude and fearless honesty in expressing her deepest feelings. Co-written and produced with her regular collaborators Manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC (known for their work with Doja Cat, SZA), ‘I’m Only Fking Myself’ fearlessly explores themes of self-sabotage, examining how vices like sex and drugs can be used as a form of escape, often leading down a path toward nihilism. The album includes Lola’s recent success, “One Thing,” which has already amassed millions of streams and continues its impressive climb within the UK Top 20 Singles Chart since its release.
Lola Young’s star continues to ascend following her “Rising Star” win at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards, a prestigious accolade that came hot on the heels of her “Best Pop Act” nomination at this year’s BRIT Awards. Her growing influence is further evidenced by recent collaborations with genre-bending artists like Tyler, The Creator (“Like Him”) and Lil Yachty (“Charlie”). Lola continues to make a global impact with her compelling music and captivating stage presence. After making her highly successful Coachella debut earlier this year, Lola had the distinct honor of opening for Billie Eilish in Paris during Eilish’s ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ headline tour. This summer promises an exhilarating run of performances at major festivals across the UK and Europe, including her much-anticipated appearance at Glastonbury, as well as sets at Lollapalooza Paris, Way Out West, and Lowlands.
Looking ahead to October, Lola Young will embark on her biggest UK headline tour to date, featuring two nights at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse, a stop at the O2 Academy Birmingham, and two nights at London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton. Following this extensive UK run, she is set for a highly anticipated return to North America for a series of headline concerts in November.
With a staggering over one billion global streams across her diverse catalog of releases, Lola Young continues to achieve monumental success. Her platinum-certified number 1 single, “Messy,” from her critically acclaimed 2024 album, ‘This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway,’ dominated the UK charts for four consecutive weeks, making Lola one of only two British artists to achieve a UK Singles Chart No. 1 in the past year.
