Los Angeles, California (August 11, 2025)- Following a milestone week that saw her make a powerful Grand Ole Opry debut, Lanie Gardner has released the title track from her upcoming sophomore album, Faded Polaroids, due out September 5 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. The rising star, who was named a 2025 Artist to Watch by the Recording Academy, is cementing her status with a sound that is uniquely her own.
The new single, “Faded Polaroids,” is a bold and deeply personal track fueled by distorted indie-pop and Gardner’s commanding vocals. The song is a journey through snapshots—some weathered by time, others crisp—that map where she’s been and who she is becoming. “The biggest thing I’ve learned is how important it is to remember,” Gardner shares. “The simple things make you happy, and to understand that, you have to search for yourself.” The song’s concept, born from going through a box of old photos, serves as the heart of the album.
Faded Polaroids, produced by Oscar Charles, Jonathan Singleton, Chris Ganoudis, and Don Miggs, is a sonic scrapbook of self-discovery, family roots, and personal healing. Across 18 tracks, Gardner blends country storytelling with indie-rock grit and small-town pop, expanding on the raw honesty of her 2024 debut, A Songwriter’s Diary. The album features a range of songs from the soulful “Takin’ The Slow Ride” to the breezy “Love You Like Appalachia.”
Gardner’s recent Grand Ole Opry debut brought a cherished family dream full circle. Born and raised in the Appalachian town of Burnsville, NC, she left for Nashville to chase the Opry dream of her late grandfather. A natural talent who learned to sing from her mother and play guitar from her father, she is an artist with a gift for turning diary entries into cathartic anthems.
With “2025 Artist to Watch” nods from both the Recording Academy and Amazon Music, and Apple Music Country’s “Riser of the Month” title, Gardner is stepping fully into her sound. She will bring the new album to life on the road this summer and fall, supporting Gavin Adcock on select stops.
