60-Year Anniversary Single
Salvador Lizárraga’s La Original Banda El Limón released a new single, “La Vida Es Corta,” to digital streaming services on August 27. The release was a pleasant surprise for longtime fans of the B Latin-signed band, which had been on their 60-year anniversary tour.

An Iconic Legacy for Sinaloa’s Music Scene
It’s only an appropriate track for the band to release from their vault in the midst of such a nostalgic celebration and after so many iconic hits that formed the modern shape of the tambora genre, like “Sal de Mi Vida,” “Si Pudiera,” “Di que Regresarás,” and many more.

Reflecting on Nostalgia
The song was written five years ago by one of the bands three current vocalists (one of a legacy of many), Víctor Yaotl Noriega Díaz, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Reflecting on his emotions during a moment of global uncertainty, along with the band’s lengthy past, he composed honest lyrics about appreciating what we have from moment-to-moment and making sure we dedicate our life to things and people we won’t regret. The song speaks about mortality, family, love, and giving thankfulness in the end. The song was also accompanied by a lyrics video, with a fitting and emotional scrapbook look.
