The band’s vocalist and leader confessed that the song, composed by Blas Murrieta, Roberto Favela, Pablo Osuna, and Maite López, touched him on a very personal level, motivating them to release it as the first single of their new phase. The recording of “La Peor Versión de Mí” also has a special story: it was captured in just 45 minutes. This time constraint was not an obstacle but an opportunity for a raw and heartfelt performance. The band is sure that the public “will feel it as their own as much as we do,” as it captures the vulnerability that we can all experience.

Throughout their career, La Nueva Estrategia has proven their quality, with nominations for Premio Lo Nuestro and Premios Juventud and notable performances in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Now, with a renewed lineup, the band is venturing to the next level. The new members bring a fresh feel that perfectly fuses with the classic sound of the accordion, bajo sexto, and saxophone, proving that positive change can strengthen a musical legacy. As they affirm: “we are the same essence, but with a fresh and powerful twist.”
The release of this single is just the beginning. The band also announced an upcoming tour through the United States and Mexico, as well as a new album that will include nine reinvented covers and one new song, with confirmed collaborations with La Energía Norteña and possible surprises with K-Paz de la Sierra.
