Los Angeles, California (August 6, 2025)- “The end may be near, but Jim Keller’s not too worried.” This is the opening message and underlying sentiment of End Of The World, the new solo album from Jim Keller, set for release on October 24. The album is a collection of lean, sardonic, and deeply human songs that reflect on what it means to stay hopeful when the world seems to be coming apart. Co-written with Byron Isaacs and produced by Adam Minkoff, the record is a testament to Keller’s decades of perspective.
The album’s lead single, “Got No Time For That,” sets a blistering tone. The soul-fired anthem, which is available now, channels frustration and dark humor into one of Keller’s most infectious tracks to date. He describes the song as being about “fighting a losing battle against technology and our political and cultural chaos.” The track features a standout ensemble of musicians, including Keller on vocals and guitar, Scott Metzger on electric guitar, and Adam Minkoff on organ and background vocals. Its punchy and raw energy is a prime example of the pub rock, new wave, and power pop influences that define the album.
End Of The World also includes the soulful opener “Love One Another,” the sweltering “Black Dog,” and the aching “I Wanna Go Home.” Keller showcases his ability to pack emotional weight into tightly crafted songs, bringing depth to every character he writes about, from a PTSD-stricken soldier in “Sally Come Home” to a drifting loner in “Here I Am.”
This album marks the latest chapter in a prolific run for the former Tommy Tutone co-founder. After co-writing the 1981 chart-topping hit “867-5309/Jenny,” Keller stepped away from the spotlight to manage composer Philip Glass and other luminaries before returning to his first love—songwriting—at the age of 50. Since 2010, he has released a string of critically acclaimed solo albums, confirming he is in the midst of a creative renaissance.
To support the new album, Keller has announced a handful of shows. Confirmed tour dates include stops on November 15 at The 5 Spot in Nashville, November 20 at C-Boy’s in Austin, and December 9 at Littlefield in Brooklyn. He will also perform on January 10th at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA, and on January 18th at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Los Angeles, CA. Additional dates are expected to be announced.
