The annual Leading Ladies of Entertainment event, a significant celebration recognizing the professional and socially-conscious women driving the Latin entertainment and arts industries, recently spotlighted its 2025 class of honorees. The ceremony not only paid tribute to four industry powerhouses but also galvanized support for the next generation of female talent with a massive, life-changing scholarship announcement.
The foundation of the event rests on acknowledging women whose influence extends far beyond the charts, impacting business strategy, cultural development, and artistic integrity within the global Latin music ecosystem. This year’s honorees represent the diverse pathways to success in a fast-evolving, high-stakes market.
The 2025 cohort featured:
- Maricarmen “Tuti” Bou, Vice President of Sony Music Entertainment in Puerto Rico, an executive force responsible for steering one of the most vital creative and commercial hubs in the Caribbean.
- Amarilys Germán, the seasoned Entertainment Executive and manager whose strategic oversight guides the career of the legendary Latin GRAMMY® and GRAMMY®-winning artist Juan Luis Guerra.
- Paula Kaminsky, Managing Director at Global Talent Services US (GTS), a major player in the talent management sphere, ensuring the careers of high-profile artists are meticulously handled.
- Rozalén, the critically acclaimed, Latin GRAMMY®-nominated Spanish singer/songwriter, honored for her compelling artistry, lyrical depth, and commitment to social causes.
While the spotlight shone brightly on the newly inducted Leading Ladies, perhaps the most resonant moment of the night came from a preceding honoree. Singer-songwriter Kany García, who was recognized by the foundation in 2022, took the stage to announce a deeply personal and significant commitment to the future of Latin music.
García affirmed her support for a Gifted Tuition Scholarship administered through the respected Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation. The scholarship, valued at a staggering $120,000, is specifically earmarked to support a young woman who is pursuing higher education in the field of Latin music.
This substantial pledge transforms the event from a retrospective celebration into a powerful, forward-looking mechanism for change. By targeting the scholarship toward an aspiring female professional, the initiative directly addresses the imperative to foster parity and mentorship at the collegiate level, ensuring that the pipeline for future female executives, producers, and artists remains robust and financially supported.
The combination of honoring today’s executive leadership with actively funding tomorrow’s talent underscores the critical role the Leading Ladies of Entertainment event plays in shaping a more inclusive and dynamic future for the Latin entertainment world.
