Grammy and BRIT award-winning producer, songwriter, and musician Thomas Hull, known professionally as Kid Harpoon, has been named the first-ever producer in residence at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios. The appointment is part of the studio’s ongoing vision to foster creativity and innovation, building on its 94-year legacy of shaping music history.
Full Access to World-Class Facilities
In his new role, Kid Harpoon will have full access to Abbey Road as his UK studio home. This includes vintage gear, microphones, instruments, and cutting-edge technology such as Audiomovers. Additionally, he will consult on the studio’s music tech and innovation initiatives, blending traditional recording expertise with future-facing production tools.
Mentoring the Next Generation
A key component of the residency is education. Kid Harpoon will actively participate in Abbey Road’s free programs designed for emerging artists and producers. This includes the Abbey Road Amplify initiative, which offers panels, studio workshops, and mentorship to help the next generation navigate the challenges of the music industry.
Abbey Road Amplify Expands to Manchester

Joining Forces with Leading Industry Talent
Amplify will feature a range of artists and producers, including Everything Everything, Fraser T Smith, Rosie Danvers, and Rich Turvey, with more participants to be confirmed. Kid Harpoon will provide guidance and share his professional expertise alongside these industry leaders.
