Guaycan Orquesta Los Angeles, California (June 6, 2025)- With more than 35 years of musical trajectory, Guayacán Orquesta continues to shine as one of Colombia’s most iconic and internationally celebrated salsa ensembles. Their influence spans across the Americas and Europe, and now their legacy has been permanently etched into the streets of Madrid, Spain—where a street will be named in their honor, recognizing their immense cultural contribution to Latin music.
As they bask in this tribute, Guayacán Orquesta embarks on a fresh chapter with the release of their newest single, “Rumba para Enamorar,” out today on all digital platforms. This track is a landmark collaboration with Colombian artist Heredero, blending the vibrant energy of salsa with the rootsy flavors of carranga and rumba criolla—a joyful sonic homage to the Cundiboyacense region’s cultural richness.
Penned by the band’s founder and musical director Alexis Lozano, and performed by rising vocalist Sebastián Moreno alongside Heredero, the single is both a love letter and a celebration of Colombian identity. Produced by Lozano in tandem with long-time collaborator Nino Caicedo, “Rumba para Enamorar” captures Guayacán’s deep commitment to musical innovation through the preservation and elevation of local traditions.
Accompanying the release is a stunning official music video filmed in some of Boyacá’s most emblematic locations—Tunja, the Pantano de Vargas, Lago de Tota, Villa de Leyva, Ráquira, and Pueblito Boyacense. Starring Sebastián Moreno and Tiffany Atencia, the reigning Miss Boyacá, the video is a visual love song to the region, showcasing Colombia’s scenic beauty, vibrant culture, and romantic spirit.
The release of “Rumba para Enamorar” will be supported by urban activations, exclusive content, and live events in major Colombian cities including Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali, offering fans an immersive experience with the track’s message and spirit.
This milestone arrives amid Guayacán’s ongoing European tour, with performances scheduled in Paris, Madrid, and Amsterdam, continuing their mission to bring Colombian salsa to global audiences and preserve its standing at the highest artistic level.
With “Rumba para Enamorar,” Guayacán Orquesta not only proves that their legacy remains vibrant, but also that the future of salsa is rooted in a fearless celebration of heritage, romance, and rhythm.
