Los Angeles, California (June 24, 2025)- Since their formation in 1983 in Santa Ana, California, Grupo El Tiempo has built a legacy that continues to grow stronger with each passing decade. With over 40 years of uninterrupted passion, this legendary band has become a cornerstone of regional Mexican music, known for their originality, perseverance, and timeless sound.
What began as a humble project quickly evolved into a celebrated musical force. With iconic hits like “María Bonita,” “Cada Día Más,” “Tu Ex-Amor” (written by the great Joan Sebastian), “Por Eso Me Voy,” “A Fuego Lento,” and “Juana la de Tijuana,” Grupo El Tiempo captured the hearts of fans across generations. Their music resonates deeply, evoking both joy and nostalgia with melodies that remain as memorable today as when they were first released.
The group also ventured into international sounds, interpreting melodies by global icons such as Stevie Wonder—even without recording in English—proving their artistic versatility. Their album “Elegancia Musical” further cemented their status, with the hit “De a Poquito” becoming a career-defining track and earning them major chart success.
The current lineup—Carlos Cobarruvias, José Luis Alcaraz “Pepe Luis”, Orlando Juarez, René Carvajal, Emmanuel Mora, and Martín Vera—continues to deliver the soulful, danceable, and emotionally rich sound that defines the group. Their performances have graced major stages across Mexico, the U.S., and Latin America, and they’ve appeared on iconic TV programs such as “Siempre en Domingo,” “Eco,” “Hoy Mismo,” “Órale Primo” in Monterrey, and “Despierta América” in Miami.
Grupo El Tiempo has shared stages with Latin music legends including Los Bukis, Bronco, Los Temerarios, and Thalía, and their touring schedule has taken them from Mexico and the U.S. to Central and South America. Their impressive catalog includes over 20 albums, each filled with songs that reflect the spirit and emotion of their fans.
Now, Grupo El Tiempo returns with a new single, “La Juanita”, composed by Alex Alonso Huesca. The track is a vibrant, dance-ready anthem that captures the band’s signature charisma and musical mastery. With its infectious rhythm and undeniable charm, “La Juanita” is poised to become yet another fan favorite.
The success of “Cada Día Más” earned them a Gold Record, and their hard work opened doors to the biggest television stages and touring opportunities. But more than awards and accolades, it’s the loyalty of their fans—and their unwavering commitment to their craft—that keeps Grupo El Tiempo moving forward.
Their name means “The Time”—and fittingly, Grupo El Tiempo continues to defy it. Their story is one of resilience, talent, and a deep love for music that doesn’t fade. And as they’ve proven, some stories truly have no expiration date.
