Música Mexicana superstar Carín León is launching a monumental new venture in his career: “La Cura Fest,” his first-ever self-organized music festival. The inaugural event is scheduled for March 14, 2026, at Expogan Hermosillo, Sonora—his native city—and is projected to host more than 40,000 people for a single-day celebration.
León created the festival to be a personal expression of local pride and a tribute to the roots and cultural identity of northwestern Mexico. He explained that La Cura Fest is a way to genuinely connect with his community in Sonora, offering a high-level production where the music can be “free, without borders.”
Erasing Genre Boundaries in Hermosillo
Far from being a traditional event, La Cura Fest is being positioned as a powerful artistic statement that rejects musical labels. Carín León, recognized globally for his distinctive style, plans to showcase an authentic fusion that will range from the most traditional, intense rhythms of regional Mexican music to the profound arrangements found in American country and folk genres. The goal is to create a unique encounter for fans, providing a space for “healing together” through musical communion.
The scale of the festival immediately confirms Hermosillo’s position as a crucial venue for major entertainment events in the region.
A Star at the Zenith
The festival launch solidifies León’s status as a global force. The singer has accumulated four Latin GRAMMYs® and one GRAMMY® and holds the title of the global ambassador of Música Mexicana. His versatility is evident in his high-caliber collaborations, which span artists like Bon Jovi, Kacey Musgraves, and Maluma.
Looking ahead to 2026, León is set to make history as the first Latin artist to perform at the Las Vegas Sphere,following his record-breaking attendance at RODEOHOUSTON in 2025.
