Gibson Custom Unveils Sierra Hull Signature Mandolins

Gibson Custom has announced the release of the new Sierra Hull Signature Mandolin Series, featuring the F-5 Master Model and F-5G instruments. This launch is a notable industry first, as Hull becomes the first female artist to have her own customized Gibson mandolin line.

The series pays tribute to Hull, a two-time GRAMMY nominee and seven-time IBMA ‘Mandolin Player of the Year,’ whose work has significantly redefined the possibilities within bluegrass and acoustic music.

Both models feature a distinctive Sierra Burst VOS Varnish finish. The F-5 Master Model is built to the exact specifications of Hull’s original F-5, including her custom narrow neck profile. These mandolins are now available worldwide through authorized Gibson dealers and at Gibson.com.

In celebration of the launch, Sierra Hull is scheduled to appear at the Gibson Garage Nashville on Thursday, October 16, at 11:00 am CT. The event will include a special live performance, followed by a fan meet-and-greet and autograph session.

Gibson Vice President of Product, Mat Koehler, praised the collaboration, noting that Hull’s models reflect her “passion for the instrument and her unwavering focus on sound and feel.” Hull herself expressed the profound nature of the process, stating, “Seeing these mandolins go from just a piece of wood to the final product of an incredible instrument is truly mind-blowing.”
