On Monday, Valenzuela walked the runway in the iconic Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris show during Paris Fashion Week 2025. She is the first Chilean artist to participate in the prestigious event, sharing the catwalk with global figures like Belinda, Anitta, Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum, Jane Fonda, and Helen Mirren.
Complementing her growing global presence, the singer-songwriter has released her new single, “Tira y Afloja (Afuera)” (Tug of War (Outside)). The track serves as a poignant and poetic closing chapter to her 2023 album Adentro, which was recognized by VARIETY as one of the year’s best Latin releases. The song is described as an intimate confession, exploring themes of desire and resistance, encapsulated by the lyric: “They always tell me ‘Fran, let yourself go, but I can only go against the current’.”
The new music arrives following a year of impactful cultural work with Ruidosa Fest, the feminist platform Valenzuela founded in 2016. In August, Ruidosa held its second successful edition at the Lincoln Center in New York, gathering thousands for a day of concerts, panels, and cultural activism. The festival is now set to return to its roots in Santiago, Chile, on October 11 and 12, at Parque O’Higgins, with a historic bill featuring Mon Laferte, Javiera Mena, Myriam Hernández, and Cami.

With new music, a high-profile fashion debut, and enduring commitment to cultural projects, Francisca Valenzuela continues to cement her position as one of the most influential and versatile voices in contemporary Latin music.
