Los Angeles, California (August 21, 2025)- Florence + the Machine is set to release their sixth studio album, Everybody Scream, on October 31. The album’s title track, also released today, comes with a new video directed by Autumn de Wilde. Fans can pre-order the album now.
Over the past two years, Florence Welch wrote and produced the album with a close group of collaborators, including Mark Bowen of IDLES, who appears in the new video, Aaron Dessner, and Mitski.
The album was born out of a period of profound recovery for Welch, who underwent life-saving surgery during her Dance Fever Tour. Her journey of healing led her to explore themes of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft, and folk horror. Everybody Scream delves into the complexities of femininity, partnership, aging, and death, exposing the darker aspects of the mundane.
With a career spanning five acclaimed albums—Lungs (2009), Ceremonials (2011), How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015), High As Hope (2018), and Dance Fever (2022)—Florence has become one of the most iconic artists of her generation. She has topped charts in both the U.S. and the U.K., won numerous awards, and is celebrated for her powerful live performances and distinctive voice. Her collaborations include sharing the stage with legends like The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift. She is also the author of the book of lyrics and poetry, Useless Magic.
