Haydée Milanés shared a preview of a live album she had created with her father, Pablo Milanés, after her performance at the Lunario del Auditorio Nacional, playing alongside Francisco Céspedas. Their new track is “Vestida de Mar (En Vivo)”. LISTEN HERE.
The father-daughter duo were known for their traditional Cuban rhythms blended with contemporary jazz and pop influences. Before his death in 2022, Pablo Milanés was a legendary Cuban guitarist and singer and founder of the Cuban nueva trova, sharing his rich music with the world.
Haydée Milanés will keep releasing music to end 2025 with a collection of powerful, moving songs.
On the same day, Cancamusa plans to release “Tengo Una Carta”, as well as the first preview of her latest album, Dopamina. She has intended for the new track to be the emotional world of the album, weaving an intricate tapestry of ashes, fire, and memory. LISTEN HERE.
“Tengo Una Carta” demonstrates the act of writing a letter that fails to reach its destination, signifying an intimate gesture caught in the throes of hope and farewell. Cancamusa then transforms the pain into a symbol of rebirth instead. The new song will be featured alongside a video clip of “Cicatriz”, painting a visual picture of the Dopamina world.
