As the final notes of the 2026 Grammy Awards fade out, the celebration will keep rolling just down the street. The Grammy Museum’s annual Grammy Awards After Party returns on February 1, promising a late-night gathering that blends culture, community, and seriously good music, this year led by Cimafunk.
Fresh off multiple Grammy nominations and global acclaim, Cimafunk will headline the private, ticketed event, bringing his Afro-Cuban funk to Los Angeles. Backed by his Havana-based nine-piece band, La Tribu, he’s built a reputation as one of the most engaging live performers, with a sound that bridges Cuban tradition, classic funk, and musical experimentation.
Receiving three consecutive Grammy nominations and a Latin Grammy “Record Of The Year” nomination, Cimafunk is no stranger to the ceremony.
The Jazz Lounge will host a rotating cast of artists curated by Exceleration Music, with acclaimed drummer and producer Terri Lyne Carrington overseeing musical direction.
Taking place across both the Grammy Museum and The Novo, the After Party doubles as a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting music education programs. Food and drink for the evening will be handled by culinary celebrity Wolfgang Puck, ensuring the experience is as polished on the plate as it is on stage.
Major partners are once again supporting the event, including Häagen-Dazs, IBM, and Waymo, alongside additional brand collaborators helping bring the night to life. While the guest list remains exclusive, the mission is outward-facing. The After Party is a celebration of music’s past, present, and future while reinvesting in the next generation of creators.
For Cimafunk, the timing couldn’t be better. With a highly anticipated new album on the way and a growing slate of global appearances in 2026, his headlining set feels like a launching pad for the year ahead.
